The Breaking Point: Healing, Revelation, and a Divine Turnaround
In this chapter of my deliverance journey, I share how physical symptoms revealed deeper spiritual battles, and how a single dream led to instant healing, breakthrough, and restoration through Jesus Christ.
Introduction
Deliverance often begins with subtle signs, things that seem physical but are deeply spiritual. By this stage in my journey, I had learned to recognize when something beyond the natural was at work. What I was about to experience next was a clear reminder that not every battle can be explained by science, most are fought and won only in the spirit.
Unexplainable Physical Manifestations
One of the first things I began to notice was an unusual series of muscle twitches, in my palms, feet, back, and even on my face, especially around my nose and lips. Out of curiosity, I searched online and found several scientific explanations, but none matched what I was actually experiencing.
At times, my entire body would itch severely after showering, which also had scientific explanations that I didn’t dispute. But what I couldn’t understand was why the muscle twitches happened only when I prayed or spoke to someone outside my home, such as at a supermarket or during interviews.
These sensations followed me everywhere. During job interviews, my face would twitch uncontrollably, though I managed to ignore it. I also suffered from persistent back pain, so severe that I could never sit on a chair without adding a cushion for support. I blamed my mattress, posture, and inactivity, but the discomfort never went away.
A Dream That Changed Everything
One day, while reading a Christian book on deliverance, I came across a section that mentioned demons that “sit on people’s backs,” causing pain and heaviness. The author also mentioned itching as a sign of spiritual interference.
That night, armed with this knowledge but without any special prayer, I had a life-changing dream.
In the dream, I was in a room in my house and I saw myself lying weakly on a hospital stretcher, my head facing a window. A few men stood beside me when suddenly, a large, muscular kangaroo jumped in through the window and landed on my back. The weight was unbearable, like a car pressing down on me.
The men in the room rushed to pull the creature off. The kangaroo resisted fiercely, crying out as they fought to restrain it. Eventually, they succeeded and dragged it out through the same window it had entered.
When I woke up, I immediately realized something had changed, the back pain was completely gone. I could move freely, and the muscle twitches in my back had stopped instantly. From that moment, I understood that what I had been battling was not merely physical, it was spiritual oppression.
A New Level of Awareness
This deliverance took place shortly after I ended communication with the lady I had been in contact with. Soon after, I received an unexpected job interview invitation from an organization that had previously rejected me.
Unlike before, I was now spiritually equipped. I had been studying the Bible diligently and reading deliverance materials that helped me recognize and renounce spiritual covenants through repentance and prayer.
Yet, even as I prepared for the interview, the muscle twitches returned, especially in my nose and eyelids – whenever I received a call from the company. Once the calls ended, the twitching stopped.
The Day of Breakthrough
As the day of the interview approached, something remarkable happened, for the first time, there was no demonic dream leading up to it. That alone was a victory, a clear sign of spiritual breakthrough and peace.
I remember that morning vividly. It was a freezing winter day with temperatures around –1°C. I walked to the bus station through the biting cold and waited patiently. When the bus finally arrived, I boarded and took my seat.
The moment I sat down, my face suddenly turned from icy cold to intensely hot. Surprised, I looked around for the bus’s heating system, thinking perhaps I had sat near a vent. I even asked the person beside me if they felt warm, but he shook his head and said no. That’s when I realized the heat was affecting only my face – my jacket and pants were still cold.
The sensation continued for about ten minutes before it faded away. In that moment of confusion, I noticed something extraordinary, the muscle twitches in my face had completely stopped.
Looking back, I now understand that what happened on that bus was not random. It was a divine healing, a physical manifestation of spiritual deliverance. God was showing me that He had broken the very thing that had been resisting me for years.
The interview went perfectly. The panel was impressed, and I was told that I will receive the offer letter before the end of the week. I was then taken for a site visit after the interview. During the site visit, the manager told me something remarkable:
“We’ve been searching for a suitable candidate for eight months. We wanted someone fluent in the local language and with at least three years of experience, but your CV kept resurfacing. We finally decided to contact you again.”
I didn’t speak the local language, and my one-year experience was different from what they sought. But God had turned their rejection into acceptance.
This was a multinational company operating in over 100 countries, and I was now being appointed to lead a team in the EMEA region.
Restoration Begins
For the first time in eight years, I could finally afford to buy a car. To others, it might have seemed like a small milestone, but to me, it was a testimony of restoration.
However, the battles were not over. After buying the car, I began to have dreams about dead relatives, followed by new financial struggles and unexpected debts.
I didn’t understand it then, but these were the enemy’s final attempts to resist my deliverance and derail the blessings that God had begun to unfold.
What I didn’t realize was that this was just the beginning of my complete victory – a final phase before stepping into total freedom and abundance.
Closing Reflection
Deliverance is not always a single event, it is a process of revelation, warfare, and faith. Through every battle, God was teaching me to trust Him more deeply and to recognize His power at work in the unseen.
That bus ride, the healed back, the new job, each was a reminder that spiritual battles have physical consequences, but also that God’s power is greater than any demonic resistance.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” — Romans 8:28
In the final chapter of this journey, I’ll share how the enemy resisted this new blessing and how God used that very resistance as a springboard into complete deliverance and abundance.
